Jardiwanpa is the name of a snake Dreamtime (Creation) ancestor who travelled from Wirnparrku (Blanch Tower) near Papunya to the north via Ngama. (Ngama is the name of the cave belonging to this Dreaming/Creation story). The centre of the painting is the snake. The circles represent Wanparnpirri-ceremonial poles. Nakamarra/Napurrula clan women and Jakamarra/Japurrula men are the custodians of the Dreaming.
