I was extremely fortunate to fly to Darwin for the 2016 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards with photographer and pilot, Andrew Vukosav in a single engine Cessna taking us up close and personal with our absolutely breathtaking Australian landscape. How breathtaking it is ! I felt like I was witnessing canvas after canvas in anticipation of what was to be revealed in Darwin. Andrew is currently working on a major landscape project but here are a few of my images taken with the humble iphone of some of the most incredible sites we witnessed between Melbourne, Mildura, Lake Mungo, Broken Hill, Birdsville, Alice Springs, Lake Amadeus, Uluru, Kata Tjuta on to Katherine and finally Darwin. Hope you enjoy the view ! Alison.
